Hello and welcome to a slightly different blog post this time.
Those of you who read regularly will know that I always like to review the latest Erstwilder launches for release day, so those of you who like me are unable to get to a shop have the best idea possible on what you are going to like and dislike.
As far as that goes nothing has changed but what is different this time is what Erstwilder are launching.
Normally we are treated to an array or necklaces/brooches and earrings. While that is still their main passion this collection features none of those usual things.
Earlier in the year they branched out in collaborations with the Australian shop Dangerfield and launched a small array of socks. This was right up my street as I love an unusual pair of socks but unfortunately they were not available in any UK stockists.
This time they have gone for something very different in a small collection of 8 headscarves, which is a great idea from them. I know alot of ladies (myself included) discovered the brand though a love of vintage style and fashion with a modern twist so for me this fits perfectly into their brand ethos.
I love the sample of designs they have used for this collection, to me it is very classic Erstwilder. Some old and new designs there but very identifiable as the brand and a great variety of what they are all about.
As I took each one out to photograph I was really enjoying how the collection felt as a whole and was very pleased with the designs they had chosen.
This was all a little last minuet for me to review these so please do forgive the photographs slightly but I wanted to try and give a little close up of each aswel as a broad view of every design,
Onto the important stuff for those of you who wear scarves regularly. Each one is a square piece of fabric, 73cmx73cm and incredibly soft.
Honestly I'm not usually very good at styling my hair with these as much as I do like it, so with my friends help we put together a little something to see how she felt using them. It was very easy to work with a change shape and wasn't too heavy ot rigid. For me the size was also great with plenty of room to do a nice sized bow at the top without worrying that it was going to fall out.
Overall I think its a great addition to the range and it would be nice to see them do something like this once a year especially if you have the matching brooch I think they would look fabulous!
